A classic Rioja blend of mostly Tempranillo, with Granache, Graciano and Mazuelo rounding out the mix, aged in oak for a year! It’s delicious — chock-a-block with vibrant, fresh-fruit flavours! |
| | Caitlynn Sez: Stag's Hollow Rose 2009! Light salmon colored. An intoxicating blend of aromas and flavors of wild strawberries, pie cherries, and orange blossoms. Bright acidity has been carefully balanced with a touch of sweetness. My brand new patio favorite! Only 4 cases left and then its gone! |
| | Jami Sez: La Sauvageonne "Les Ruffes"Coteaux du Languedoc! A dynamite mix of syrah, grenache, carignan and cinesault, La Sauvageonne is a tremendous big-and-yummy bargain! Wine Spectator gives it 91 points (not that we put much stock in that sort of thing) and we'll give it to you for less than 25 bucks! |
 | Maria Sez: Amarula Marula Fruit Cream! A hot little firecracker like me likes a little nip of something sweet, soft and creamy every now and then; and Amarula makes a nice break from the inevitable coffee-cream liqueur we're all so familliar with. Brilliant straight up or on ice -- or in coffee! |
| Dan Sez: Antinori Tignanello! The nose quickly brings serious aromas, generous amounts of berry, spices, chocolate and some tobacco. A real monster on the palate with flavours of coffee, jam and chocolate on the mid palate with a nice smooth and pleasing finish. Very well structured and balanced, drinking nicely today but expect maturity within a few years. It will be interesting -- not to mention delicious -- to compare 2005 to my 2001. The trials and tribulations of wine knowledge never end! | | Danielle Sez: Il Rosso 12! Modestly priced, this is a poor man's Toscanna -- based on Sangeovese grapes, but zipped up with Syrah, or Cabernet or something -- they don't say what, but whatever it is, it makes all the difference in the world! |

| | Jonathan Sez: Vancouver Island Brewery Seadog Amber Ale As a tribute to our nation’s Naval heritage, and to commemorate our Canadian Naval Centennial, Vancouver Island Brewery crafted a unique beer for a unique occasion. Sea Dog is an amber coloured beer with a burst of hops and smooth malt finish. Here’s to 100 years of protecting our waters, our citizens and our sovereignty...Bravo Zulu! | |
Charla Sez: Greener Planet Tempranillo-Grenache! A steal -- a classic Spanish combination at a bargain price! |
